Chicken Cutlets​ Recipe in Hindi | Russian Cutlets

Ingredients for Russian Cutlet

5 small/ medium sized potatoes
300gm boneless chicken cut in to small pieces
2medium sized grated carrot
1capscicum chopped finely
7-8green chillies finely chopped
200gms fresh green peas
Halal chicken maggi cubes-2
2tbsp mayonnaise/white sauce
1/4tsp garam masala powder
1/4tsp black pepper powder
2tbsp ginger garlic paste
For coating
Plain sevaiyyan
2 beaten eggs mixed with salt


In a pressure cooker add the chicken pieces,ginger garlic paste and salt mix well now add the potatoes (cut in to halves)
Close the lid
Give 3-4whistles on low flame
*Do not add water as chicken will leave water
Boil the green peas till it becomes soft
Heat oil in a wok (minimal quantity)
Keep it on medium flame add capsicum saute for few seconds now add grated carrot saute for few minutes
*Can add many more veggies like beans
Add maggi cubes to the vegetables mix well and switch off the flame
When the pressure settles down open the lid of cooker
Remove the potatoes and peel off the skin
Burn the water left in the cooker on high flame
Stirring continuously

When the water evaporates switch off the flame
Let the chicken pieces cool then shred it
In a large bowl add the mashed potatoes, shredded chicken pieces,green peas, vegetables, chopped green chillies, mayonnaise, garam masala powder, black pepper powder mix every thing
check the taste and add salt if required
For more cheesy flavour one can add more of mayonnaise/white sauce/cheese
For making cutlets apply water or oil on both the palms make medium sized cutlets by rolling and flattening the mixture on your palm like wise make cutlets of the whole mixture
In a wok heat large quantity of oil
Dip the cutlets gently in egg batter and then coat it with sevaiyyan all over deep fry the cutlets on medium hot oil
Repeat the process with the remaining cutlets
When one side turns golden flip and fry the other side
Flip a couple of times more and fry all the cutlets till they are evenly golden and crisp from all sides remove the cutlets on tissue to drain off excess oil.
Serve hot with sauce or chutney

If making more cheesy cutlets it would be difficult to fry ,u can add bread crumbs to the mixture it will bind the cutlet and prevent them from breaking while frying
